Adam McIntosh
Bluegrass artist Adam McIntosh isn’t your average banjo player. Having learned from JD Crowe, Sammy Shelor, Terry Baucom and John Bowman, McIntosh has forged ahead to create a distinctive style while still sticking close to traditional roots of bluegrass music.
McIntosh started playing music at an early age, playing guitar at age 12, starting his first gospel band at age 15. Since then, he has toured nationally and internationally with the Dry Branch Fire Squad, playing guitar, mandolin and singing tenor and lead.
Today, McIntosh is a founding member and banjo player of Jetts Creek, a gospel and bluegrass band featuring his sister Angie and Dad, Jon.
For Jetts Creek, Adam McIntosh plays a Recoding King Professional banjo.
“It still amazes me that a banjo of this caliber is sold at the low prices that are asked for these works of art,” McIntosh says. “Not only do these banjos look great, they sound even better.”
“I have no problem at all lending my name to them because I know what a great product they produce”
Adam McIntosh is touring throughout the Midwest. For a complete list of tour dates, visit the Jetts Creek website.
