"It is fun to play and very impressive!"

Blake Williams

The extraordinarily talented Blake Williams of Williams & Clark Expedition is an accomplished musician on several instruments. He has worked with two of the forefathers of bluegrass music: playing banjo with Lester Flatt and the Nashville Grass until Lester's death in 1979, and with the Father of Bluegrass, Bill Monroe, for 10 years.

During his musical career, Blake has toured 48 states and 7 countries, played Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and the Lincoln Center. Blake has also recorded 3 solo projects and performed on the Grand Ole Opry for over 23 years.

He recorded 6 albums with Bill Monroe for which one of them, Southern Flavor, won a Grammy for Bluegrass Album of the Year. He is also an in-demand session player, recording with Patty Loveless, Dolly Parton, Travis Tritt and Ricky Skaggs among others.

For the authentic acoustic tone needed for bluegrass music, Blake plays a Classic Series Abalone (RO-227) in 000 Style.

"This Recording King offers well-balanced tone and great volume," says Williams. "It is fun to play and very impressive!"
