RECORDING KING ANNOUNCES THE ROS-06 12-Fret OOO-STYLE GUITAR

Recording King has made the classic 12-Fret 000-style body shape affordable for players of every level with the new ROS-06. The historic Golden Age design of the 12-Fret 000-style ROS-06 marries the specifications of the best-selling RD-06 to the Recording King Century Studio Series body.

With a solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, the ROS-06 gives players the rich deep sound guitar players have come to expect from Recording King. The 12-Fret neck joint creates a more even and subdued sound than most dreadnoughts, perfect for solo fingerstyle playing.

Crafted with a rosewood fretboard, bone nut and saddle, and tortoise shell body binding, the ROS-06 offers players professional features and a vintage look on a great sounding guitar. A budget-conscious fingerpicker’s dream instrument, with a 1-13/16” nut width and classic 25.4” scale length, the ROS-06 offers guitarists something unique at a price within reach.

12-Fret 000-style bodies have garnered significant attention over the past couple of years as collector’s instruments, but few companies offer such a powerful combination of premium sound and affordability.

The ROS-06 will be available in fall 2009. It is covered by Recording King’s lifetime warranty.

RECORDING KING INTRODUCES THE MADISON BANJOS

Recording King introduces two all new banjo models for players looking to upgrade to a semi-professional model.

The Recording King RK-R25 resonator and RK-O25 open-back offer avid players professional quality appointments at an entry-level price. Both banjos are built around a true 3-ply steam bent maple rim, from the exact same construction and materials used in the best-selling RK-R80. They have maple necks with adjustable truss rods and rosewood fretboards. Their 24 brackets and notched hoops enable players to adjust the head tension as precisely as could be done on any world-class banjo. The planetary tuners, geared 5th peg and dual coordinator rods are not only effective, but they add an authentic feel to these impressive banjos.

The American threaded nickel-plated hook and nut hardware, as well as the true presto-style tailpiece and armrest (R25 only) are the same as featured on the popular RK-Scout. Both banjos come standard with authentic Remo heads.

The Resonator model (RK-R25-BR) has a maple resonator with a hand-rubbed brown matte finish. It comes with a tube-and-plate flange for the distinctive sound that only tube-and-plate can provide. With a fan peghead and fretboard inlay, this banjo looks as great as it sounds.

The Open-Back model (RK-O25-BR) has a classic dot inlay on the fretboard and is perfect for comfortable old time playing.

NEW RECORDING KING TROUBADOUR EXTRA DEEP SMALL-BODY ACOUSTIC

Recording King proudly introduces the Troubadour, a classic, extra-deep small-body acoustic guitar for guitar players who play fingerstyle blues, country blues, or classic ragtime.

The newest model in the Recording King Century Jubilee Series, the Troubadour guitar is built with the same care and attention to detail as all Recording King instruments. The Troubadour was designed based on the classic Nick Lucas style guitars of the 1920’s. To achieve the legendary Recording King tone, the top is made of solid Sitka spruce and supported with hand-shaped, fully scalloped x-bracing. The all-solid back and sides are made from solid figured maple. The 4 1/2” extra-deep body helps to add significant volume and bass for players looking for full, round tone and projection. The “C” profile neck is made from a single piece of solid mahogany with traditionally styled inlay on the rosewood
fretboard.

With a classic 1 11/16” nut width, a historic scale length of 24 3/4” and a bone nut and saddle, the Recording King Troubadour has been carefully assembled to fit vintage specifications down to every last detail.

The Recording King Troubadour will also be available with a Sitka spruce top and laminate mahogany back and sides. Both come with Recording King’s lifetime warranty.

NEW RECORDING KING MODELS, RD-06-M/W, RD-07 AND RD-08:
A NEW STANDARD IN SOUND AND VALUE

Recording King introduces three new models to the award-winning Recording King guitar line.

Sporting solid spruce tops, the RD-06, RD-06-M, RD-06-W, RD-07 and RD-08 illustrate the skill of the Recording King luthiers. With ultra-thin “C” profile mahogany necks, scalloped spruce forward X-bracing and rosewood fretboards, these guitars have the features to impress both advanced and recreational players.

Available with either Rosewood (-07) or Mahogany (-06) back and sides, and in either dreadnought or 000-style body shapes, these guitars set a new standard for affordable, professional-quality sound. Upgraded features like a bone nut and saddle, die-cast tuners and classic tortoise shell body binding make these instruments look and sound as if they costs much more than the list price. The options available for the RD-06 are a matte finish (RD-06-M) or a widened soundhole (RD-06-W) for increased volume and projection. The RD-06 can also be purchased in a cutaway style with an optional 4-band B-Band EQ. The RD-08 represents a first for Recording King, featuring a solid mahogany back in addition to the solid spruce top, for a guitar that has the projection and resonance of an all-solid model, but without the price tag.
